The selections you will find at Genesis II reflect on the power and beauty of God’s handiwork and the joys of people observing his images. His sunrises, sunsets, the sun and the moon, the decay of fall, the rebirth of spring and the long days of summer all are powerful descriptors of his work. The images have made us notice what we have tended to ignore. They have stopped us and delivered to our being the smell of the roses, and the smell has changed us. Life is happening all around us and it begs to be described in images. Don shares with you these images with the hope that God’s handiwork will touch you as it has touched him. Watch a sunset or revel in the beauty of the natural world that surrounds us. Stop. Look and listen to what is around us. Open yourself up and appreciate what a beautiful world we live in.

Don has spent the last 45 years in the fields of medical digital imaging and quantitative image analysis. While employed at the Johnson Space Center, he developed techniques and products that are being used in medical laboratories around the world. He has authored many papers and in 1994 was inducted into The United States Space Foundation Hall of Fame for his technical and product development in the field of digital imaging. Don took up photography and image manipulation to document scenes and events that most people will never see in their busy lives. He found that looking intently through a lens, waiting for the decisive moment to appear, gives one a detailed view into the constantly changing beauty of God’s handiwork.
